Regular Swift, 72″ circumference Large Swift, 100″ circumference Glimakra umbrella swifts are made from birch, in two sizes, the regular size which holds skeins up to 72″ (2 yards) around, and the large swift which holds skeins up to 100″ (2.75 yards) around. They are constructed and finished to get the most appropriate surface for the yarn. You can clamp these swifts to stand vertically, as shown or you can mount them horizontally which can make for easier unwinding, especially for fine threads. Glimakra Swifts are warrantied for 2 years, and we can repair wooden parts if needed.
