These simple wooden cufflinks are made from one of my favourite exotic timbers, ebony. Ebony is a deep black timber traditionally used to make piano keys. I love how this rich timber works with the silver, creating a simple and sophisticated look that compliments any French-cuffed shirt. Square cufflinks are made using a 1.5mm thick piece of silver and a matching 1.5mm thick piece of ebony. I give the ebony a few light coats of oil to really bring out the amazing black satin surface.
